Getting Great at German WPCA passion project

Hi my name is Helene and I am a student at Wesley Intermediate, I am part of the William Pike Challenge Award.
I chose learning German as my passion project because I am going to Germany in July to visit my family. The first time I tried learning German I found it really hard because it is very different to English. Learning German is an important sill for me to learn because as I said I am going to Germany half way through the year. I hope to be able to speak fluent or nearly fluent German by the end of the year.
Can't wait to blog again. Please comment if you have any tips to learning a new language.

Meeting William Pike

Hi, my name is Helene and I am in the Wesley intermediate William Pike group.
On Tuesday the 7th of May Miss Davis (our WPCA teacher) and Mr Davis (our principle) took some of us in the WPCA group to ST Tomas school. We sat with a few other schools doing the WPCA in the hall and William Pike came and talked to us. It was really inspiring and interesting to hear his story. I think what I took away from his talk was that you should ALWAYS step outside your comfort zone. After his talk we got to have photos with William in our schools, all the other schools had at least 40 students and we had 4. Once we had taken our photo we got to go back to school, on the way to the car we left a little note for William on his car😀.
Can't wait to do our next event.
